Step by step Transformation industrial area Schiedam

Groenweegje Schiedam is an area located close to the center of Schiedam. The area is a peninsula located on historic canal the Schie. The area contains many historic monuments. In addition, the area has a number of large open spaces. Master plan Groenweegje is based on the existing and potential qualities of the monuments and open spaces. Around it are clear urban structures formed in the shape of closed and half open building blocks.The historic facades of the monuments are leading for design in both the buildings and public space.The urban structure is connected by a blanket of an unambiguous and harmonious pavement.
