TIME LINE is a result from a 2 week workshop at the academy of architecture Amsterdam.
Almere and Amsterdam are depending on each other. Amsterdam is a global hotspot and provides jobs for people who live in Almere.
By 2040 the Amsterdam area will need 125 000 extra houses. It is suggested that Almere will provide 25.000 houses. Therefore an extra connection is needed. Due to the current economic situation and the demographic developments we think the investment in the connection and development of Almere is very insecure.
We suppose a line witch is flexible in time and will makes a metaphorical and ecological connection that within time can be transformed into a low cost cable car, when needed . By doing this we create a multi beneficial ecosystem and a unique way of transportation.
